This guide covers the following shade types: Cellular Shades, Plain Fold Roman Shades, and Soft Fold / Hobbled Roman Shades.
1. Each SmartWave shade from the original manufacturer comes pre-programmed. This includes a remote already paired with the shade, preset upper and lower limits, and ready-to-use operation once the remote or wireless wall switch is powered on.
2. If the remote or channel you want to delete is the only one paired with the shade, it cannot be deleted using this method. To delete it, please refer to “Reset and Re-Pair Remotes or Channels.”
Watch the video below to learn How to Delete a Remote or Channel from the Shade.
- Please note that if your remote control or wireless wall switch is a 2-channel device,
Channel 1 corresponds to the programming button labeled “P1.”
Channel 2 corresponds to the programming button labeled “P2.”
- If it is a 6-channel or 15-channel device, select the desired channel first. The P button will then function as the programming button for the selected channel.
Method 1: Using the Program Button on the Motor
Step 1: PRESS AND HOLD the motor’s Programming button for about 2 seconds.
When the shade jogs once, release the button.
Step 2: Select the remote or channel you want to delete.
BRIEFLY PRESS AND RELEASE the P button on the back of the remote. Note: Do not hold the button.
(For wireless wall switches, use a paperclip or similar item.)
The shade will jog once.
At this point, the remote or channel has been successfully deleted.
Method 2: Using the P Button on the Remote to Be Deleted
Step 1: Select the remote or channel you want to delete.
