Reset and Re-Pair Remotes or Channels – SmartWave Shades

This guide covers the following shade types: Cellular Shades, Plain Fold Roman Shades, and Soft Fold / Hobbled Roman Shades.

📘 Note:
SmartWave shades come pre-paired with a remote or wireless wall switch from the factory. If you’re not satisfied with the original pairing setup, you can re-pair them using the methods below.

Step 1: Delete All Remotes and Channels at Once

PRESS AND HOLD the motor’s Programming button and release it when the shade jogs twice (about 7 seconds).
At this point, all remotes or channels have been successfully deleted.

⚠️ Careful Operation: When the shade jogs twice (within about 7 seconds), release the button immediately. If you continue holding it and the shade jogs a third time, all saved settings will be erased, and you will need to complete the initialization process again before the shade can operate properly.

Step 2: Re-Pair a Remote or Channel

Select the remote or channel you want to add. （For example, if you’re using a 15-channel remote and want to pair the shade to channel 6, switch the remote to channel 6.）
Then BRIEFLY PRESS AND RELEASE the P button on the back of the remote. Note: Do not hold the button.
The shade will jog once. At this point, the remote or channel has been successfully paired.
