SmartWave is proud to offer the following product and service warranty to the original purchaser, provided that proof of purchase is presented.
Coverage:
- Three-Year Warranty: All SmartWave shades come with a 3-year warranty.
- Extended Five-Year Warranty: The motor in all SmartWave shades is covered by a 5-year warranty.
- Post-Warranty Repair: After the warranty period ends, repair costs are nominal, and customers can also order replacement parts for a minimal fee, which includes packaging and handling charges.
Exclusions:
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, such as wear, stains, pet damage, exposure to elements (heat, sunlight, wind, water, or moisture), and material discoloration, fading, or slight deformation over time.
- Improper installation or operation, including malfunctions caused by incorrect installation (unless performed by SmartWave), misuse, abuse, or damage by pets or insects.
- Natural material variations, such as color, texture, or grain of natural products, slight warping of wood products, or natural color changes over time.
- Non-compliance with SmartWave specifications, such as products exceeding SmartWave’s size recommendations.
Other Considerations:
- Warranty resolution is at the discretion of a SmartWave representative, who will decide whether to repair or replace the product.
- For rooms with multiple products, only the defective product(s) will be repaired or replaced, while matching the original specifications as closely as possible.
- Third-party products are subject to the warranty provided by the third-party manufacturer, if applicable.
- Any visible damage at the time of delivery or installation must be reported to SmartWave within 3 days; otherwise, the warranty will not apply.
Professional Installation Warranty:
- When purchased with the product, SmartWave guarantees professional installation services will be free of installation defects.
- This warranty applies for up to three years after installation, provided the original purchaser has proof of purchase.
- If repairs are required within the warranty period, SmartWave will offer repairs free of charge and reinstall the product if removal from the installation location is necessary.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability:
- Except for implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, no other warranties are given beyond what is expressly stated in writing.
- SmartWave is not liable for loss of profits or other indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
- State Law Considerations: Some state laws may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to all customers.
- This warranty grants specific legal rights, and other rights may vary by state.
