When multiple shades are controlled together, they may not always move in perfect synchronization. This can happen for two main reasons:
-
The shades are set to different operating speed modes.
If the shades start moving at the same time but continue running at visibly different speeds, they may be using different speed settings. -
The shades receive the group control signal at slightly different times.
During group control, each motor receives the wireless command separately. Due to signal distance, obstacles, interference, battery level, or the position of the remote/wireless wall switch, one shade may receive and respond to the signal slightly earlier or later than another shade. This may make the shades appear out of sync, even if their actual operating speed is the same.
How to tell the difference:
If the shades start at different times but move at a similar speed afterward, the issue is likely related to signal reception timing.
If the shades start together but move at different speeds throughout the travel, the issue is likely caused by different speed mode settings.
Solution:
First, make sure all shades are set to the same operating speed mode.

Additional Tips for Group Control:
For more consistent group operation, please try the following:
- Stand closer to the shades when using the remote or wireless wall switch.
- Make sure there are no large obstacles blocking the signal.
- Keep all shades sufficiently charged.
- Avoid operating the shades near strong sources of wireless interference.
- Test the shades individually to confirm each one runs normally.
Please note that slight timing differences during group control are normal and do not necessarily indicate a product defect.
If the shades remain significantly out of sync after adjusting the speed settings, please contact the SmartWave customer support team for further assistance.
