The openness factor refers to the percentage of a fabric that is made up of open spaces or holes. It determines how much light, visibility, and UV rays can pass through the material. A higher openness factor allows more natural light and clearer outdoor views, while a lower openness factor provides greater privacy and better light control.
We currently offer three openness options:
-
1% Openness – Offers the highest privacy and blocks most light. Best for bedrooms or media rooms.
-
3% Openness – A balanced option that provides moderate privacy while still allowing some daylight.
-
5% Openness – Allows more light and visibility, ideal for living areas where you want to enjoy outdoor views.
To help you choose, we provide visual comparison images showing the light and view through each openness level. This helps you make an informed decision based on your lighting and privacy needs.
