The following measurements are for reference only and are intended to help you understand the spacing between components when using side mount brackets.
You only need to measure your window as an inside mount—no deductions are necessary. The factory will make the necessary adjustments during production to ensure a perfect fit.
Important:
Side mount installation is supported only when the shade width is under 80 inches.
For Roller Shades, Zebra Shades, Shangri-La Sheer Shades, Dual Shades:
Bracket Thickness:
1/8" (3mm) – The thickness of the bracket at the mounting point.Gap Between Wall and Shade Valance:
3/16" (6mm) – The space between the wall and the edge of the shade valance.Gap Between Wall and Fabric (Non-Motor Side):
Approximately 9/16" (15mm) – The distance from the wall to the edge of the fabric on the non-motor side.Gap Between Wall and Fabric (Motor Side):
Approximately 13/16" (20mm) – The distance from the wall to the edge of the fabric on the motor side.
For Cellular Shades:
Bracket Thickness:
1/8" (3mm) – The thickness of the bracket at the mounting point.Gap Between Wall and Shade Valance:
3/16" (6mm) – The space between the wall and the edge of the shade valance.Gap Between Wall and Fabric (Non-Motor Side):
Approximately 3/8" (9mm) – The distance from the wall to the edge of the fabric on the non-motor side.Gap Between Wall and Fabric (Motor Side):
Approximately 3/8" (9mm) – The distance from the wall to the edge of the fabric on the motor side.
For Cordless Roman Shades, Plain Fold Roman Shades, Soft Fold Roman Shades:
Bracket Thickness:
1/8" (3 mm) – The thickness of the bracket at the mounting point.Gap Between the Wall and the Valance/Fabric:
3/16" (6 mm) – The distance between the wall and the edge of the valance and fabric.
