Change the Motor’s Rotation Direction – SmartWave Shades

This guide covers the following shade types: Roller Shades, Zebra Shades, Cordless Roman Shades, Woven Wood Shades, Shangri-La Shades, Outdoor Shades, and Dual Shades.

✅ If the shade moves in the opposite direction when you press the UP or DOWN button, you can reverse the motor’s rotation by following these steps:

💡 Tip: If your shades are powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, disconnect all charging plugs from the shades, including the solar panel plug, before making any settings to ensure the motor indicator light works correctly.

Step 1: Use the remote to move the shade to a position roughly halfway between its upper and lower limits.

Step 2: PRESS AND HOLD the UP and DOWN buttons on the remote at the same time for 2 seconds.
When the shade jogs once, release both buttons.
The indicator light will turn orange and flash continuously.

Step 3: PRESS AND HOLD the STOP button on the remote for 2 seconds.
When the shade jogs once, release the button.
The orange flashing indicator light will turn off, then flash green 5 times, confirming the motor’s rotation direction has been successfully set.
