Adjusting Your Shade’s Limits – SmartWave Shades

This guide covers the following shade types: Roller Shades, Zebra Shades, Cordless Roman Shades, Woven Wood Shades, Shangri-La Shades, Outdoor Shades, and Dual Shades.

📘 Note:
1. Each SmartWave shade from the original manufacturer comes pre-programmed. This includes a remote already paired with the shade, preset upper and lower limits, and ready-to-use operation once the remote or wireless wall switch is powered on.
2. Zebra Shades, Cordless Roman Shades, Shangri-La Sheer Shades, and Woven Wood Shades allow limited adjustment of the upper and lower limits. However, due to their structural design, the factory-preset limits are already optimal and rarely need further changes.

💡 Tip: If your shades are powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, disconnect all charging plugs from the shades, including the solar panel plug, before making any settings to ensure the motor indicator light works correctly.

Adjusting the Lower Limit

✅ If the existing lower limit is not in your desired position — for example, if the shade stops above the windowsill when fully lowered, or goes too low and interferes with the windowsill — you can follow the steps below to adjust the lower limit.

Step 1: On the remote, BRIEFLY PRESS DOWN and release.
Wait until the shade reaches its existing lower limit.

Step 2: PRESS AND HOLD the UP and DOWN buttons on the remote at the same time for 2 seconds. When the shade jogs once, release both buttons.
The indicator light will turn orange and flash continuously.

Step 3: Use the UP or DOWN buttons to move your shade to the new lower limit.

Step 4: PRESS AND HOLD the STOP button on the remote for 2 seconds.
When the shade jogs once, release the button.
The orange flashing indicator light will turn off, then flash green 5 times.
This means the new lower limit has been set.

Adjusting the Upper Limit

✅ If the existing upper limit is not your desired position — for example, when the shade is fully raised but still blocks too much light — you can follow the steps below to adjust the upper limit of the shade.

Step 1: On the remote, BRIEFLY PRESS UP and release. Wait until the shade reaches its existing upper limit.
