Reset and Re-Pair Remotes or Channels – SmartWave Shades

This guide covers the following shade types: Roller Shades, Zebra Shades, Cordless Roman Shades, Woven Wood Shades, Shangri-La Shades, Outdoor Shades, and Dual Shades.

📘 Note:
SmartWave shades come pre-paired with a remote or wireless wall switch from the factory. If you’re not satisfied with the original pairing setup, you can re-pair them using the methods below.

💡 Tip: If your shades are powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, disconnect all charging plugs from the shades, including the solar panel plug, before making any settings to ensure the motor indicator light works correctly.

Step 1: Delete All Remotes and Channels at Once

Using a paperclip or similar tool, PRESS AND HOLD the motor’s Programming button and release it when the shade jogs twice (about 7 seconds).
The motor indicator light will turn orange and begin flashing.
This means that all remotes and channels have been deleted.

⚠️ Careful Operation: When the shade jogs twice (within about 7 seconds), release the button immediately. If you continue holding it and the shade jogs a third time, all saved settings will be erased, and you will need to complete the initialization process again before the shade can operate properly.

Step 2: Re-Pair a Remote or Channel

While the orange indicator light is flashing, select the remote or channel you want to add. （For example, if you’re using a 15-channel remote and want to pair the shade to channel 6, switch the remote to channel 6.）
Then BRIEFLY PRESS AND RELEASE the P button on the back of the remote. Note: Do not hold the button.
The shade will jog once. The orange flashing indicator light will turn off, then flash green 5 times, confirming the new pairing.
