Power Cord Extension Specifications for Drapery

If the original power cord length is not sufficient and you choose to extend it, the extension cable must meet at least the following specifications:

• Wire Gauge: 18AWG or thicker (e.g. 16AWG)

• Voltage Rating: 300V or higher

• Temperature Rating: 80°C (176°F) or higher

• Flame Rating: VW-1 or equivalent flame-retardant rating

Do not use thinner wire (such as 20AWG or higher AWG numbers).

These specifications are based on the original motor power cord requirements to ensure safe and reliable operation.
